Funky tips infection, prevention and control policy.
Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the salon, we have completed a course on Coronavirus Infection Prevention and Control. I have also implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of.
If we feel ill or have symptoms of COVID-19, we will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again at a later date. Vulnerable clients will have priority for the first booking of the day to ensure a safer environment.
If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVID-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
No walk ins please. We will work by appointment only so please call.
Online booking has been temporarily closed due to the system not being able to comply with the extra time needed in between clients for cleaning. We are sorry for this inconvenience and as soon as we can have it up and running we will reactivate it. Please always leave a message on our answer machine if we can’t get to the phone. Or you can fill out a waiting list form on our online booking or app as stated previously.
Visiting the Salon
For your safety and to maintain social distancing, I ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving. Can you please wait outside and we will get you when we are ready and we will let you know what door for you to enter in. (The front door, side or back) this is to minimise contact with anyone else other than your therapist. Can you also please bring minimal belongings with you to your appointment.
I have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon, including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client.
All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.
Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.
You will have access to hand sanitiser when entering the salon and leaving.
We are asking all our clients to come with a mask or face covering to minimise transmission in the salon. If you do not have one we can supply it at £1
We also ask if you can come alone to your appointment to limit the number of people in the salon.
All staff will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment. This may include disposable gloves / face masks / face shields / aprons where appropriate.
I can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority. I can assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees Celsius.
I have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and am confident that I can continue to provide these safely which all the staff have read and understand.
During your treatment
I understand the importance of hand hygiene and I will ensure that we wash our hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.
I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let us know and I will do what we can to satisfy you.
Preferably card payments only but tips can only be paid for with cash.
Unfortunately with all the measures we have put in place with extra cleaning in between clients, we are not being able to operate at a full Capacity, we have had to put a £3.50 charge on all visits to the salon. This isn’t something we like to do and it won’t be covering all the costs. But in order for us to continue trading and still providing a service you all love, this is something we have to do.
All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and ours. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.
Thank you for your understanding and your patience.
